“We take sight and vision for granted because it's so difficult to "see" them as separate from the activities they make possible.
It's easy enough to accept that sight may need correction at some stage in life, but no one is preparedto lose it…irretrievably.
My lifelong dedication is ensuring that you receive the kind of preventive care that spots any threat to your sight in its earliest, most treatable stage.”

Practice Philosophy
“One of the most heart-rending stories to ever underscore the need for preventive eye care is the transformation of the Minnesota Twins' Kirby Puckett from Hall-of-Fame hopeful to partially blind ex-baseball great. I often recall his story
during my examination of patients who assume that a prescription for corrective lenses covers their eye care needs for the next few years, or even decades. Unbelievably, some never think to see me again unless their prescription needs updating. I want people to know that Optometry is more than designer frames and new styles and color choices for contact lenses. It's about protecting your sight for a lifetime.”
Knowledgeable Care for a Lifetime of Good Vision “When I made the decision to become a Doctor of Optometry, I knew it would take a lifetime of commitment to keep pace with diagnostic and treatment innovation. I stay active in professional associations in order to benefit from the experience and knowledge of my peers. I also exceed the number of hours required for continuing education every year — for two reasons: I'm still fascinated by the eye and behavioral vision disorders, and what I learn might make the difference in sight enhancement, quality of life, or preservation for one of my patients.”
Doctorate: Doctor of Optometry, New England College of Optometry, Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Fraternity
Graduate: B.A., State University of New York at Oswego (double major in Psychology and Biology/Pre-Medicine)
Postgraduate Training Includes: Fellowship in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (FCOVD), Long-term vision care, specialty in learning-related vision analysis and treatment, specialty contact lenses, sports eye wear, glaucoma treatment, and many others
Commitment to Community “I work together with friends, neighbors and patients in various charitable and civic activities as part of an ongoing dedication to making the community a better place in which to live.”
Community vision Care: Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity (VOSH), Monthly donations of eye wear to the Lyon's Club
Member: Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, College of Optometrists in Vision Development, Optometric Extension Program (OEP), American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, Southwest Florida Optometric Association
